I usually don't watch the Oscar's because I seriously can't sit through the whole thing. What I do love is watching the Red Carpet pre-show so I can sit there and admire what all the actresses are wearing for the night. Unfortunately, I missed it this year so I had to catch up on all the beautiful dresses online. These are some that I would definitely wear...if only I had a lavish red carpet event to attend!

I've always been a huge fan of Angelina Jolie and her effortless style choices, but I was a little disappointed this year...

4 am wake up call

I have been potty-training my son for a year now and I must say, it has been the hardest thing I've had to deal with as a parent...so far. It's frustrating, it's time-consuming, and it's exhausting. There have been times where I felt like giving up. There have been times where I wished babies were born potty-trained. I've heard potty-training a boy takes hard work and a lot of devoted time and patience, which sometimes I run out of. 

It's been a inconsistent and a consistent challenge. 

This past weekend was surprisingly consistent. He kept his pull-up dry for long periods of time and even while we were out, he said "Mommy, I have to go potty!" This is something he hardly ever does. We're usually the ones asking him if he needs to go. Not this time. He was very vocal and in control of his "potty needs". 

At bedtime last night I put an extra blanket underneath him just in case he wet his pants, which is something he usually does during the night. 

I wake up to him nudging me on the arm and standing next to my bed. It was 4 am and I had to wake up for work in 2 hours. "Oh please don't wake me up right now", I thought. I looked at him and he said, "Mommy, I pee-peed." I got up and immediately started feeling his pants and to my surprise, he was completely dry. I said, "No you didn't." Then he said, "I did! In the potty!" 

I couldn't believe it! I was so happy and so proud of him. He has never woken up in the middle of the night to go to the bathroom. And I was so surprised that he didn't even bother to wake me up. 

He's growing up way too fast!

The best part of a busy day is finally being able to sit down, relax, and enjoy a good movie. After a few loads of laundry and a little bit of reorganizing/early Spring cleaning, I am sitting on my bed as we speak and watching The Bodyguard. 


I found myself having some sort of a love addiction with a few things this week. If you know me, I am obsessed with sweets! Working in the city of San Francisco, there can be many temptations around me when it comes to satisfying my sweet tooth. There is a Specialty's Cafe & Bakery right next to my work and I always heard they had the best cookies. I don't remember who I heard it from, but they were right. Currently on my food obsession list is their black & white cookie. Seriously, melt-in-your-mouth goodness!

Of course, I have a list of fashion obsessions! Right now I am really into adding more skirts and dresses into my wardrobe. I've always been such a jeans kind of girl while my current dresses have only been worn once or twice. And loafers! I never thought I would want to buy a pair, but these shoes have really grown on me. I found these via Pinterest and fell in love!

My favorite show right now is The Walking Dead. I just recently started watching the second season and finally caught up on the first season last weekend. No joke, one of the best shows ever! I anticipate Sunday nights because of this show. I even had a dream {nightmare} about zombies a few weeks ago. Hmm, if I have any more I might have to stop watching it...

I had been eyeing the dress for a while now, but it had been sold out for the longest time. Luckily, I checked tonight and they had my size. So excited to get it!

I was saddened to hear the new of Whitney Houston's passing.

I grew up listening to her music as a child.

And she was one of my favorites.

I loved her voice. I loved her beauty. I loved her music.

It didn't matter what was going on in her life...

To me, she was still the best at what she did.

She was a legend and amazingly talented like no other.
