My sister came over yesterday and we decided to watch Disney's Tangled. I already knew my son wouldn't be into it since it's a little girly for his taste, but we went for it anyway. Yesterday made me realize that watching a movie at home is not quite the same as it used to be...
Movie starts.
Dylan jumps.
Dylan runs from couch to couch.
Mommy tells Dylan to calm down.
Dylan sits.
Mommy pauses movie to take Dylan to the potty {currently in potty-training}
Mommy and Dylan come back.
Movie resumes.
Dylan jumps on Auntie.
Mommy gives Dylan a toy {mommy's iPhone} to play with
Dylan sits and plays a loud game.
Dylan wants a drink.
Movie is paused.
Mommy and Dylan grab a drink from the kitchen.
Movie resumes.
*On repeat until movie ends*
By the way, I loved the movie! Super cute and even made me shed a tear. Any Disney movie that can make me cry definitely tops my list.
We just watched Tangled the other day and I loved it! I didn't expect it to be that good for some reason...

I haven't seen this yet but my 5 year old niece loves it. I bought it for her birthday. Will see it soon. I'd recommend Gnomeo and Juliet though. Such a cute movie, one your boy might actually like :)
ReplyDeleteSounds like our house. It sometimes takes us two days to watch a movie, but it is the adults taking all the bathroom breaks and snack breaks. LOL

I love that movie! Haven't tried watching it with a toddler yet though.
ReplyDeleteSounds like what I have to look forward to shortly!:)
ReplyDeleteMy kiddos love the movie but mommy was guilty coz she was blogging when it was shown at home on Sunday! Dylan is a cutie and he's a normal active little kid! Part of motherhood we would always cherish!

ReplyDeleteIt's a great movie!
ReplyDeleteI love Mandy Moore too. A Walk to Remember, anyone? LOL.
I thought this show was so much better than I ever expected! Your movie process is hilarious...reminds me of why we usually watch movies after the kids are in bed! :)

My son's actually liked this one! They like most anything with the Disney label!
ReplyDeleteMy three year old says to my six year old, "Mica! Throw down your HAIR!" It's pretty funny hearing one small boy say that to another!
